About the role: 

As a Cloud Engineer, you will analyze cloud infrastructure needs across the company's product units while participating in OpenStack distribution selection and deployment. Your role involves designing and implementing private cloud infrastructure, ensuring integration with hybrid cloud platforms, and supporting the organization in maturing infrastructure into a fully automated, service-oriented, hybrid IT environment. This includes deployment and integration work with major cloud infrastructure providers (i.e. AWS, Azure), along with on-prem or edge cloud integration.

You will automate and manage build pipelines, migrations, security and compliance processes, manage TCP/IP networking in cloud and on-premise environments, support data storage and data management solutions, and implement enterprise monitoring using industry standard technologies. You'll define and manage cloud-based infrastructure while performing necessary administrative tasks and providing platform support. You'll also support debugging, testing, updating, and associated ongoing maintenance activities with these environments.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or Master's degree with 3 years of experience. No degree requires 10 years of experience.
  • Experienced with technical standards, principles and theories. Works under general supervision providing solutions to technical problems of moderate complexity.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, OpenStack), automation tools, scripting languages, TCP/IP networking, debugging and testing tools, security compliance, and enterprise monitoring solutions.
  • Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure using intelligence community-approved platforms and tools.
  • Active Security+ certification or ability to obtain within first 90 days of employment.
Highly preferred:
  • Industry certifications in cloud platforms. 
  • Cloud platform experience including on-premise, hybrid, and classified deployment and integration.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools and DevOps practices. 
  • Knowledge of enterprise monitoring technologies and security frameworks.
Clearance Requirements:
  • Active Top Secret with ability to obtain and maintain SCI 
Work Type: 
  • Onsite in Colorado Springs, CO
  • May require up to 10% travel

Salary Range:

  • $120,000 - $160,000
  • The determination of compensation is predicated upon a candidate's comprehensive experience, demonstrated skill, and proven abilities
